Arlberg’s via ferrata attracts climbing fans and in particular via ferrata experts to the rocks high above St. Anton am Arlberg.

The Galzig-Bahn cable car (free parking spaces available in St. Anton) transports visitors up to the Vallugagrat. On leaving the Vallugagrat station, simply follow the signs. The challenging ascent can be accessed shortly before the first tower of the Weißschrofenkamm. The excellently-secured and partially rather exposed ascent up to the Weißschrofenspitze at 2752m runs over 2 km. You can enjoy dreamy panoramic views throughout the tour – provided you don’t get sweat in your eyes! On clear days, you can even see as far as Lake Constance.

From the peak, the route leads only downhill but, like the entire route, this should not be underestimated and you need to buckle down here too. On exiting the via ferrata, it is best to follow the trails and signs to the Kapell chairlift with its mountain station close to the starting point.

Stable weather conditions are essential for safely tackling the via ferrata!
