Energy pioneering in the Alps PDF Print E-mail
In summer 2011 our Hotel, Rote Wand, dressed itself up for you! The new Larch shingles are much more than just a cladding.

After a complex thermal renovation, our hotel looks totally new and concerning energy saving, it sets a new benchmark in the Alps.

In one year we save 500.000 kW of energy. These economic savings have been reached by improving the whole hotel. Per year this corresponds to an average of 83 single-family houses.

But how can you save energy for 83?

Often you have to invest a lot if you want to improve something. The main building as well as houses A and B have new roofs, the claddings have been built up, the gallery rooms have been insulated and panelled with local Austrian White Fir.

With immediate effect you can tank-up on some personal energy as well as save our environmental energy.
